Carte postale: NYC

By Ann | December 6, 2012

Greetings from New York City! The skies are so blue, the sun so bright, the food so delicious, the reunions with old friends so sweet. Yesterday morning I found myself on the L train at rush hour, squeezed into a car with all the commuting Williamsburg hipsters. There was so much vintage clothing, it smelled like the Salvation Army.

Ah yes, the Williamsburg hipsters on the L train. Perfect imagery there. Have fun, eat well, take lots of pics. And then share all three with us. :)

Ha, I saw your tweet about the L train. (And Mission Chinese, too, which I’d love to hear more about.) On my recent visit, it was the immense, late 19th century style beards more than the vintage garb that confused me…Anyway, have fun!

I was an E trainer working at 51st & 3rd (Editor & Publisher magazine.) Fell asleep on the subway once going to work & missed my stop. Only went to 5th Ave. But what a shock! Also took the subway to visit grandparents in Bay Ridge or LIRR to visit parents in Wantagh.

Hope you are having a wonderful time. Looking forward to reading some posts on your food adventures while there. Don’t know how much time you have but we hear there is a wonderful Matisse show that just opened at the Met.
