Wondering what to call your shoe store? Nothing says footwear like the world’s most famous talk show host.

As one of the queens of Louboutin, I wonder if Oprah would be insulted to see her name on a store with shoes stacked in boxes at the entrance and clothes hanging on racks outside.

Francesca — But maybe the “Paris” below offsets some of the tackiness? ;)

If this were the 1970s, the store would have been called “Merv Griffin.” I can hear my great grandmother now: “When we wuh in Paris, we bought some shoos at Moiv’s!”

Chris, Coming from Queens, NYC, myself I can just hear your gg granny saying Moiv. Was she from Brooklyn or Joysey.

Ann, As you probably well know, living here in Paris, this can really be a tacky city. Unless you are in one of the upscale arrondissements, you will see some of the tackiest people around and they are not tourists. It’s the same in New York. Both cities used to be so chic.
