Winter Wonderland

By Ann | December 25, 2009

Paris is even more beautiful when covered with a blanket of snow. I took this photo last week, but it seems appropriate to share it with you today. Wherever you are in the world, I hope you are enjoying your own winter wonderland. Joyeux Noël!

Merry Christmas to you and to all your loyal readers! Great picture; it’s amazing how hardy the leaves are — I wonder if it is usual for them to linger into late December. Last year they were gone by this time, I think!

Spent the Holidays in Paris as well, rather than at our home in Kentucky. The snowy cold weather made the Mariage Freres tea and Eric Kayser pastries taste all the better!

We had a lovely sunny Rose Parade today with balmy blue skies … a real contrast to the beautiful snowy wintry street scene in Paris, which looks like an Impressionist painting!

How exciting…a book tour! My daughter lives in San Francisco. I’ll have to give her the info. of when you’ll be there. If I can be there, I’d love to finally meet you. Happy New Year.

Leon — Lucky you to be in Paris over the holidays! I was actually in California, but dreaming of oysters and foie gras. Hope your holiday was lovely.

Dad — It does look Impressionistic especially if you mentally replace the cars with horse-drawn carriages.

Kathleen — I would LOVE to meet you and your daughter. Happy new year to YOU!
