Rome with a view
By Ann | February 29, 2008
I’m back! And oh, Rome was so beautiful… the gentle sunshine, narrow streets, crumbling buildings… the gelato, pizza and artichokes… the coffee, freshly squeezed blood orange juice, and wine…
But I’ll write more about the food later. For now, here are a few pictures.
The forum.
H-E-double-hockeysticks as usual at the Fontana di Trevi.
Lovebirds take note: Buy a lock at the Ponte Milvio, attach it to the railing and throw the key into the Tevere. Your love will be sealed forever.
From the Garden of Oranges.
Why didn’t the Comte and Comtesse respond when we rang their buzzer?!

Hello, Ann. I just ran across your site while doing a search for blood orange juice online. (I work at an organic juice company and am always looking for new recipes since I get the juice for free.) I just wanted to tell you that your picture of Rome are lovely! Also, I wanted to let you know that you can get blood orange juice here in the states. In fact, the company I work for imports it from Italy. It’s called Italian Volcano Blood Orange juice in case you’re interested. Have a great weekend!

Ann,
Thanks so much for your nice comment! Blood orange juice is indeed addictive… though I never quite learned how to say it in Italian, I would stammer out some version of “spremuta di arancia” and a long glass of brilliantly colored juice would appear. So refreshing! I’ll look for your juice here, which I’m sure will help ward off any Rome-sickness.

Beautiful pictures of Roma! Blood oranges seem to be in season, at least in California, so you can squeeze your own for now.

Beautiful. Would love to see some pics of Annie in Rome, though!
