Our readers from Beijing have informed us that this blog is blocked in the PRC! Perhaps the Chinese government thinks the site is about embezzlement?

Perhaps, it’s fear of culinary imperialism! Is this the salient of an expanding food empire?

I, for one, am looking forward to some great eats arising from this here blog. Thanks!

Hundreds of villagers clash with police — as they try to force they way through cordons to get to an Internet cafe so they can access Ma Lan’s fabulous recipes! As always, it’s all about social stability.

I was a little shocked to see an article on dumplings last week in the IHT that WASN’T by Ann Mah or Fuschia Dunlop.

Is is possible that there are other writers on Chinese food?

That’s a major accomplishment! I think it was the post about Grampy that did it. He’s very controversial.
